Strictly Come Dancing results and spoilers: Debbie McGee tops scores but who left?

Strictly Come Dancing 2017 - TX5 LIVE SHOW

Here's a spoiler-filled recap of tonight's Strictly Come Dancing 2017 ahead of the latest results.

This evening saw the fifth round of live performances as each celebrity took on a brand new dance.

Due to a "prior work commitment", Bruno Tonioli didn't appear tonight and left the remaining three judges to it.

As a result, all of the performances were marked out of a total of 30 and it left the marks truly all over the place.

It was Debbie McGee who topped an unusual scoreboard with 27 points out of 30 while Joe McFadden also had a great night as he scored 26 marks.

Gemma Atkinson, Aston, Merrygold, Mollie King and Jonnie Peacock all tied on 24 points, while last week's leader Alexandra Burke found herself in the bottom half of the table with 23 marks.

But right at the bottom was a four way tie with Simon Rimmer, Susan Calman, Brian Conley and Ruth Langsford all scoring 16 points.

With the unusual scores it makes tonight's Strictly Come Dancing results hard to call, but Simon is the bookies' tip to go.

Aoife Heffron, Spokeswoman for BoyleSports commented “Simon Rimmer has been hanging on by a thread since week one and this could be the week his time on Strictly comes to an end. As the rest of the celebrities begin to show improvements, Simon’s performances continue to fall flat unfortunately.”

She added: “Davood has taken a hit off the back of his dance-off appearance last week and although 10/1 for elimination, it’s a far cry from his outsider 33/1 price in previous weeks.”

The two celebrity couples in the bottom two of the overall rankings will find themselves having to dance again in tomorrow night's (Sunday) fourth results show.
