Dancing On Ice has reached the penultimate found with just four celebrities remaining after Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton became the latest to be sent packing.
Wes Nelson topped the leaderboard on a staggering 42.5 points, picking up some extra marks in the series first ‘Sake Battle’, which saw all five celebrities take to the ice in a bid for extra marks.
The Love Islander has been a long running favourite to win and as the competition nears its end, he looks unstoppable for the title at the red-hot odds of 4/6.
James Jordan was Wes’ main threat to the title throughout the series, but as he continues to drift he is becoming less and less intimidating in the market. The former Strictly Come Dancing professional is now priced at 9/4 having been eased out from 7/4 and seeing odds of 13/8 the week previous.
Brian McFadden goes into the semi-finals as a 14/1 shot to win with Saara Alto, who narrowly avoided the boot having been saved by the judges in the skate-off, the firm 20/1 outsider.
Aoife Heffron, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “Wes Nelson can do no wrong on the ice with our customers as they are uninterested in anyone else in the Dancing On Ice market. Even at his 4/6 odds, he is the punters pick to win.”
She added “James Jordan does remain the second favourite, but at his current 9/4 odds he is no match for Wes at this late stage of the competition.”
