Dancing On Ice’s James Jordan has vowed to skate on despite a nasty injury.

The former Strictly Come Dancing pro is one of eight celebs left on this year’s line up.

He topped the scoreboard last Sunday night, but this week has become the latest celeb to suffer a nasty mishap in training.

James took to social media to reveal: “I fell practising a jump the other day and landed on my hip. Given I have arthritis there, it wasn’t ideal. It hurt – a lot.”

He added: “I’m getting daily physio and trying to man up. The last time I was in this much pain was when Brendan Cole and I were messing around backstage at Strictly, and he accidentally pushed me down a set of stairs.”

James went on to insist he would definitely still be performing on Sunday.

He wrote on Twitter: “Just to clarify some of the rumours that I might have to pull out of @dancingonice. I was asked about any injuries of which I have lots… but never considered pulling out.

“I am loving the whole experience and loving the support even more. I can only do my best, love you all ?”

While James is set to skate, his rival Brian McFadden may be forced to miss the show.

The Westlife singer is said to have hurt his back during training for Sunday’s show.

And although he is receiving treatment, insiders say that he may not be well enough to perform at the weekend.

A spokesperson for Dancing On Ice commented on the reports: “Brian has a bad back and is currently being monitored by our show physio.”

If Brian isn’t able to skate, he wouldn’t be the first celeb to sit out a show.

Cricketer Ryan Sidebottom missed the fourth live episode due to an injury, receiving a bye through to the next week automatically.

Dancing On Ice 2019 continues this Sunday night at 6PM on ITV.
