Melody Thornton is set to be the first Dancing On Ice 2019 celeb to attempt the headbanger.

The Pussycat Doll singer has been rehearsing the move ahead of Sunday's show.

She's set to put it into her latest routine in what will be just week 4 of the competition, and Melody's third ever skate.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Melody said: "I'm just trying not to die... I could crack my head."

Melody and her pro partner Alexander Demetriou will be performing their routine to Fleur East hit Sax as they take to the ice live on Sunday evening.

Alongside Melody, those still on the Dancing On Ice 2019 line up this year include Coronation Street actress Jane Danson, Loose Women’s Saira Khan, X Factor favourite Saara Aaalto, Grease legend Didi Conn and reality star Gemma Collins.

Completing this year's line up were cricketer Ryan Sidebottom, Love Island’s Wes Nelson, Strictly Come Dancing dancer James Jordan and singer and presenter Brian McFadden.

Ahead of Sunday's show, it seems Loose Women’s Saira Khan is on thin ice with the public after there was uproar last week when judges voted to keep her over EastEnders star Richard Blackwood. The panellist has been made the 15/8 firm favourite to be the third booted from Dancing On Ice by bookies BoyleSports who have seen a string of large bets for her to go.

Meanwhile, despite Melody's daring headbanger, it's the boys who lead the way at the top of the betting.

James Jordan and Wes Nelson are locked in a two-horse race for the Dancing On Ice title after James’ grip on favouritism slipped. The former Strictly Come Dancing professional was eased out to 13/8 from 6/4 as he begins to get overshadowed by another celeb.

Love Island’s Wes Nelson was the cream of the crop last Sunday, scoring a staggering 29.5 for his routine, which resulted in his odds being slashed right into 7/4 from 5/2.

Dancing On Ice 2019 continues this Sunday night on ITV from 6PM.
