The TV personality is said to have received a “big offer” from Dancing On Ice bosses for the new line up.

Sources say that Gemma could prove to be “TV gold”, having previously appeared on shows including TOWIE, Celebrity Masterchef and I’m A Celebrity.

“Gemma was one of the first names they wanted to sign,” an insider told The Sun newspaper. “They made her a big offer and are confident she will be one of the stars of the show this year.

“They think viewers will love to see her show off her dancing skills, particularly as Strictly turned her down.”

Other rumoured Dancing On Ice celebrities at this stage include Love Island’s Wes Nelson.

Wes made the final of this year’s series alongside girlfriend Megan Barton Hanson.

He could follow in the footsteps of Kem Cetinay, who won Love Island last year and took on Dancing On Ice in January.

Other tabloid reports have claimed ITV are also ‘desperate’ to get Wes’ Love Island co-star and winner Dani Dyer on the cast while Katie Price has also been rumoured.

The new Dancing On Ice line up will be confirmed in the coming months ahead of the show’s return to TV in January.

It was X Factor singer Jake Quickenden who was crowned the winner of Dancing On Ice’s comeback series at the start of this year.

Confirming the show’s return for 2019, Siobhan Greene, Head of Entertainment Commissioning, ITV, said: “The show’s welcome back has exceeded our expectations and it’s been fantastic to see the audience at home loving it. The recommission is a no brainer and it’s brilliant for everyone involved to know it’ll be back next year.”

Katie Rawcliffe, ITV Studios Creative Director, added: “All of us missed Dancing on Ice while the show was off screen and it seems all our viewers did too… our on screen changes have been brilliantly received and we’re looking forward to getting our skates on for series two.”

Dancing On Ice typically airs Sunday nights in January on ITV.
