One of he original singing talent show formats, Fame Academy lasted for just two series between 2002 and 2003.

Lemar finished third in the first series, although went on to have the most success of the contestants.

After being voted off Dancing On Ice on Sunday, Lemar suggested the BBC should bring back the series that launched his career 15 years ago.

He told The Sun: “I definitely think it’s about time Fame Academy was brought back. I’d love to be a judge on the show and share my knowledge with hopefuls. I love watching The Voice and X Factor.

Sunday night saw the eight remaining celebrities skating together for the fifth time.

Following each of the celeb’s latest live performances, it was singer Lemar who was voted off Dancing On Ice 2018 after the skate off against media personality Donna Air.

In the skate off, judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Jason Gardiner and Ashley Banjo decided who to save after the couples skated again.

Jason, Ashley and Jayne all saved Donna, leaving Lemar to go home. Although his casting vote was not needed, head judge Chris also saved Donna.

Meanwhile, at the end of Sunday evening’s episode, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby had an announcement for the celebrities.
