Ashley Banjo

Ashley Banjo has finally been confirmed as the new Dancing On Ice judge.

The Diversity dancer had been rumoured for the role and today it was officially confirmed he would be the show's new fourth judge.

Ashley himself revealed the news on ITV's Loose Women.

Ashley joins the previously confirmed Torvill and Dean and Jason Gardiner when the show returns to ITV in the New Year.

The panel will for the first time critique routines choreographed by the professional skaters as they set about impressing with their celebrity partners.

Ashley said: "This show feels like it's embedded into society. I was really excited to be part of the revamp and the refresh. I'm going to be myself, be constructive, and just be ready for Jason!

"I'm going to be honest. If someone is great, I'll tell them they're great. If people need telling that it was bad, I'll tell them."

So far a total of 10 celebrities have been confirmed for the series.

Soap star Brooke Vincent was revealed as the new series' first star signing for the returning show at the end of October.

Cheryl Baker was the second celebrity confirmed to compete in Dancing on Ice 2018 before Love Island contestant Kem Cetinay became the third star on the cast.

Joining them are Great British Bake Off's Candice Brown, X Factor singer Jake Quickenden, Rugby hunk Max Evans, Cricket hero Monty Panesar and ITV Weatherman Alex Beresford.

Actress and TV presenter Donna Air and athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton are the latest names on the official line up.

Dancing On Ice originally ran between 2006 and 2014 but will return for a tenth series next year.

The brand new series of Dancing On Ice is expected to return to ITV in January, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield.
