I Like The Way U Move: Jamie Laing and Kaelynn “KK” Harris host BBC Three dance dating show

I Like The Way U Move release date confirmed

Jamie Laing and Kaelynn “KK” Harris front a new dancing dating series on BBC Three.

I Like The Way U Move (previously announced as Dance Crush) is a new eight-part dating series where single professional dancers and rookie non-dancers compete to find their perfect partner both on and off the dance floor.

Recent Strictly Come Dancing contestant Jamie Laing will present the show while world renowned dancer, choreographer, and actress Kaelynn “KK” Harris will take up the role of resident dance expert and judge.

Each episode they will be joined by a guest judge including Lady Leshurr, Clara Amfo, Oti Mabuse, Layton Williams, Giovanni Pernice, Maisie Smith and Johannes Radebe.

BBC share of the series: “In the series, professional dancers are introduced to the rookies at a mixer. If the sparks fly, the rookies are invited back to the I Like The Way U Move house, where they have 48 hours to rehearse and master a routine with their professional dance partner.

“Two days later, the pressure is on as a dance off puts their partnerships to the test with KK and the panel on the lookout for trust, passion, eye contact and genuine sparks between the couples. To succeed, connection is key. The couples who make it through the dance off are through to the next mixer and the most fire couple get to go on a prize date.

“The couples with the least chemistry on the dancefloor will be eliminated – and those who survive will go on to win a trip to world famous dance destination, Ibiza. ”

I Like The Way U Move will be streaming to BBC iPlayer from Sunday 17 October and air on BBC One from Tuesday, 19 October at 10:35PM.

The professional single dancers taking part in the series are Charlotte, 23 from Hartlepool; Jaydon, 21 from Buckinghamshire; Josh, 20 from London; Lee, 26 from Essex; Shola, 23 from Nottingham; Sara, 21 from Italy; Iestyn, 19 from Cardiff; Rachel, 24 from London and Rhianna, 24 from Huddersfield.

Jamie Laing said: “Just when everyone thought they were safe from seeing me dancing again (I miss Hercules!), here I am already returning to the dance floor for the BBC. This time, however I will be helping others find love by getting them to learn some irresistible dance moves.

“I cannot wait to meet the single contestants, and hopefully I’ll be able to give them some good tips from what I learnt on Strictly to get a new hot date. I can’t wait!”

Kaelynn “KK” Harris added: “Dance is the international language that all can understand. What better way to find love is to merge two of the most influential things- love and dance!

“I can’t wait to meet the contestants, offer some valuable insight, and follow along on their beautiful journey!”
