The Britain’s Got Talent judges took a swipe at Strictly Come Dancing tonight as a pair of same sex dancers auditioned.
In this evening’s episode, we met David and Javier as the auditions continue.
David (31) and Javier (33) aren’t a couple but are a same sex dancing duo, who performed a salsa routine.
After their performance, Alesha Dixon praisesd “You’re like the little and large of the Latin world. I loved it, it was dynamic, it was lovely.”
David Walliams quipped: “It shows there’s nothing funny about two men dancing together.
“I don’t know why a show on the BBC doesn’t have two men dancing together, because it’s fantastic. ”
With four yeses, they made it through to the next round.
The duo weren’t the only dance act on tonight’s show.
We also met Cali Swing, a group of 10 dancers aged 9-14 years old, living in London. All of the children are from a Latin American background and dance to a salsa song.
They got through to the next round as well with four yeses from the judges.
There was also Jim the Dancer, a 59-years-old and from London who performed as a dancing clock.
And Radu-Alexandru Patrunsu, a 32-year-old builder from Romania, living in London, who showcased some unique spins on the stage.
Other acts this weekend include ‘silent comic’ Lost Voice Guy and a moving performance from dance group RISE.
The group performd a dance with wheelchairs to help one of the members, Hollie Booth, get back into dancing following injuries she sustained during the Manchester terror attack in 2017.
As always, acts needed three or more yeses to make it through to the next round and potentially on to the live shows.
Making up the judging panel this year once more are Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.
Meanwhile, hosts Ant and Dec will be present for the auditions, watching on from the sidelines.
Britain’s Got Talent 2018 continues Saturday nights on ITV.
