The grand final tonight (Friday, October 11) saw the winner crowned and it was Greg Rutherford MBE who won Celebrity MasterChef 2019.

The Olympic long jumper beat reality star Vicky Pattison and former professional football player Neil Ruddock in the grand final.

In tonight’s ultimate part of finals week, the three finalists each had to cook and present a faultless three-course meal for final judgement by John and Gregg.

Earlier this week saw the finalists take on the Chef’s table.

Hosted by MasterChef: The Professionals judge Monica Galetti at her restaurant, Mere, the celebs had to deliver food of an exceptional standard to impress some of the best chefs in the country.

This year’s Chef’s Table was made up of Daniel Clifford (Midsummer House – two Michelin stars), Lisa Goodwin-Allen (Northcote – one Michelin star), Ollie Dabbous (Hide – one Michelin Star), Jun Tanka (The Ninth – one Michelin star) and Robin Gill (The Dairy and Sorella).

Meanwhile, in the first part of finals week heavyweight boxer Dillian Whyte was eliminated after the then four finalists took a trip to the largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife.

There, the celebrities experienced new ingredients and cooking techniques as they tried to recreate popular and iconic Canarian dishes to serve to the locals.

Guiding them were brothers and restaurateurs Mario and Fabian Torres, whose restaurant on the island has been in the family for three generations.
