Following the success of the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? anniversary specials in 2018, another special series aired earlier in 2019.

Now ITV has confirmed further episodes for this month (August) starting on Saturday, August 24 at 9:10PM.

The global hit game show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, returned in May last year with 6.1 million viewers and a 31% share. The seven episode special, to celebrate the 20th anniversary, was stripped across one week and went on to win the slot each night it was broadcast.

The show will offer members of the public the chance to win £1,000,000. Each contestant will have the opportunity to answer 15 questions on their way to winning the life changing prize, helped along the way by familiar lifelines of Ask The Audience; Phone a Friend and 50:50.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? reboot also introduced new lifeline Ask The Host, although it often proved to be more of a hindrance then a help.

Still, Jeremy Clarkson returns as host and stars in a cheeky new promo for the upcoming episodes.

A trailer for the new series unveiled this week sees Jeremy reading out mean tweets about himself before quipping: “If I had a pound for everytime someone badmouthed me on social media I’d be a Millionaire.”

So far the new episodes of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? have yet to see anyone scoop the top prize.

36-year-old teacher from Birmingham John Robinson got the closest, winning £500,000 in March.

He became the first person in 10 years to be asked the £1 million question, but didn’t want to risk losing his winnings so far.
