Netflix reveals casting for Wednesday season two

Wednesday will return for a second season on Netflix with casting unveiled.

The new take on the iconic character from The Addams Family first dropped in November 2022.

Featuring Jenna Ortega in the title role, the show became an instant hit so it’s little shock to learn a second season is in the works.

Joining the regular cast for season two are Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter and Noah Taylor

Plus, there will be guest appearances from Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Joonas Suotamo.

Returning to the show are Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Isaac Ordonez, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Georgie Farmer, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Co-showrunners Miles Millar and Alfred Gough said: “We can’t wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky, spooky world of Nevermore. We just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.

“It’s been incredible to create a show that’s connected with people across the world. We’re thrilled to continue Wednesday’s torturous journey into Season 2.”

Ortega added of the new episodes: “[Wednesday] sticks to her guns, and she’s not out to please anybody. Which, as someone who used to be an immense people pleaser, I really respect.”
