Ever wondered what happens on The Voice UK if a coach doesn’t manage to fill their teams?
Usually on The Voice the four teams have always been full before all of the budding hopefuls have sung.
It’s meant that some auditionees have turned up only to find it’s impossible to get through to the next round.
Back in 2014 it was reported that those unlucky contestants still went on to perform for the coaches.
Producers decided to give the six acts who missed out the opportunity to sing for the panel anyway with then coaches Will.i.am, Kylie Minogue, Ricky Wilson and Sir Tom Jones staying on set to offer up some advice, tips and coaching for the future.
But just what happens if every act sings but the coaches decide not to fill their spaces?
In 2015’s series it was explained that if, once the auditionees all sing, any coach has still some free spots then they simply progress through to the battle rounds with less members on their team.
It’s a tough call for the four coaches who want to complete their teams but do so too early then they miss out on the remaining acts waiting backstage who may be better.
Even when it comes to the final performance, it’s not quite straight forward.
While it may seem REALLY bad tactics to not spin whatever the performance of the last act, one could argue that it’d leave the coach more time to spend with their other singers.
See what happens when The Voice UK blind auditions conclude this Saturday night from 8PM on ITV.
