TOWIE’s Chloe Sims slams Strictly Come Dancing for ‘banning’ reality stars

TOWIE’s Chloe Sims has hit out at Strictly Come Dancing for supposedly banning reality stars.

Chloe has slammed the BBC One series and claimed they need to “get over themselves”.

Writing in her column for Star magazine, Chloe said: “I don’t watch Strictly out of principle.”

She claimed: “I’ve heard they don’t allow TOWIE stars on.

“They think we’re beneath them – they need to get over themselves. It’s not for me, anyway. I don’t want to watch people ballroom dancing!”

Instead of Strictly, Chloe revealed she was a fan of the rival ITV series: “I’m loving The X Factor. Nicole Scherzinger is so funny.”

Strictly is reportedly not the only show that has banned the likes of TOWIE stars from its cast.

Geordie Shore’s Holly Hagan previously spoke out over claims that I’m A Celebrity bosses had ‘banned’ reality stars from last year’s line up.

It was reported that producers of the show were keen to avoid familiar faces from shows like Geordie Shore, TOWIE and Made In Chelsea in favour of more “credible” celebrities.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “This year I’m A Celeb . . . wants to go back to its roots by signing up more cult favourites from the past and current, newsworthy personnel.

“The last series got a ribbing for having so many reality show stars and giving them lots of camera time.”

On Twitter Holly hit out at the reports, accusing bosses of being “scared”.

She tweeted to her followers: “just scared because these so called “un-credible” people have fantastic personalities that people LOVE to watch.”

Reports ahead of this year’s series have suggested that I’m A Celeb’s ‘no reality stars’ rule could be relaxed for 2017.

“Reality stars create more social media buzz and also attract younger viewers,” a source said.
