The Voice UK’s Jennifer Hudson gave an impromptu performance of The Impossible Dream in tonight’s show.
During a break in filming the latest round of blind auditions, Jennifer belted out the classic song for the audience.
As the crowd begged Jennifer for a song, she obliged.
“I want to sing The Impossible Dream,” Jen declared before bursting into song.
Tonight saw the sixth and penultimate round of blind auditions on The Voice UK.
Jennifer added just the one act to her team; Gisela Green, a 27-year-old from London who performed ‘Best Part’ by Daniel Caesar. It leaves Team JHUD with 9 out of 10 acts chosen this year.
Meanwhile, Team Will added 22-year-old Nyema Kalfon from Winchester, who performed ‘Answerphone’ by Banx & Ranx and Ella Eyre, and 16-year-old Gabriel Dryss from London. She auditioned with ‘Treasure’ by Bruno Mars
Joining Team Olly this week was 21-year-old Georgia Bray from Cannock, who performed ‘Firework’ by Katy Perry at the blind auditions.
And winning a place on Team Tom was 23-year-old Deana from Liverpool after singing ‘Back to Black’ by Amy Winehouse.
However not everyone got a turn, with the spaces on the teams dwindling.
The Voice UK blind auditions conclude next Saturday night on ITV.
The Blind auditions will be followed by the Battles and then the Knockouts, where the coaches will have the chance to steal an act.
And Jennifer revealed previously that the next stages see tension between her and Olly.
“I did get a little upset with this one here [Olly Murs] because he really gave it to me,” she said ahead of the new series. “I think he’s my friend, right, and after this battle we had a fall out.
“I was like, ‘We are not friends anymore.’ He text me messages and then in the battle against me he turned on me like that? I am so passionate about the contestants. He stabbed me in the back and it was so painful.”
Following the pre-recorded stages, the live shows will then air in the Spring.
