The Voice UK 2019 winner Molly Hocking on course to top the charts

The Voice UK’s Molly Hocking’s winner’s single is on its way to Number1.

It was Molly who won The Voice UK 2019 in Saturday night’s live show, beating favourite Deana Walmsley to the title.

Shortly after the live show, Molly released her winner’s song on iTunes here.

The single is a cover of Lady GaGa’s I’ll Never Love Again from A Star Is Born.

The song has already shot up the iTunes chart and is currently the Number 1 download at the time of writing. The song has taken over current Official Number 1 song Lewis Capaldi’s Someone You Loved.

18-year-old student Molly from Essex competed in the final for Olly Murs’ team alongside Jimmy Balito, a 23-year-old from Sussex.

They competed against Sir Tom Jones’ Team’s Deana, a 23-year-old from Liverpool, and Bethzienna Williams, a 28-year-old musician from Barry who won the public wild card vote.

Jennifer Hudson and Will.i.am didn’t have any acts in the final.

In the final the coaches took to the stage for duets with their four finalists plus the final four also performed a new solo song.

Two acts were then eliminated – Jimmy and Bethzienna – leaving the top two – Molly and Deana to sing again.

Molly performed I’ll Never Love Again while Dena sang Autumn Leaves by Eva Cassidy.

Voting lines then closed before host Emma Willis announced the result.

Meanwhile, last year’s winner Ruti Olajugbagbe appeared on The Voice UK final where she released her new EP Racing Cars.

The Voice UK airs on ITV.
