The Voice Kids 2019 returned tonight for its final round of blind auditions of the new series – here are all the performances.
Will.i.am, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones and Jessie J were back for a last round of try outs.
Once more hosted by Emma Willis, The Voice Kids is open to talented young soloists between the ages of seven and 14.
Up for grabs for the The Voice Kids UK winner is a £30,000 bursary towards their musical education plus a dream family holiday to Orlando.
The public will ultimately crown the winner of The Voice Kids 2019 but the first step is winning a spot on one of the three teams at the blind auditions.
Just like in the adult version, the young singers perform their chosen song to a live band – but can they get the coaches to hit their buttons?
This week, with places on the four teams running low, the pressure was on.
But as always, even if no coaches pressed their buzzer, they all still turned around at the end of the performance so they can give feedback and encouragement.
Here’s a recap of tonight’s final round of the blind auditions…
Raphael
13-year-old Raphael from London got Jessie, Danny and Will all turning for his cover of You Can’t Stop The Beat from Hairspray. Having already performed in Lion King and Motown the Musical on London’s West End, the cousin of JLS star Marvin Humes joined Team Will.
Connie
11-year-old Connie from Sheffield performed I Turn to You by Christina Aguilera to get all of Jessie J, Pixie and Danny pressing their buzzers. After a pitch battle, Connie chose to join Team Jessie.
Jovani
Despite an impressive vocal performance, 14-year-old Jovani from Gibraltar unfortunately didn’t manage to get any coaches to turn for his cover of Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself.
Joslyn
11-year-old Joslyn from Cheadle, Staffordshire belted out Snow Patrol’s Run for her blind audition, securing spins from both Pixie and Danny. Choosing between them, Joslyn joined Team Danny – despite wanting Pixie before her audition!
Holly and Emily
Adorable duo 10-year-old Holly and 11-year-old Emily won their way onto Team Pixie after she turned for the pair’s performance of Someone Out There by Rae Morris, making it well worth the pair’s flight all the way from Dubai.
Harry
13-year-old Harry from Lincoln took a risk with his blind audition as he performed Jessie J’s own song Who You Are. The brave move paid off, getting Jessie to turn around and seeing Harry join her team.
T’mya
12-year-old T’mya from Liverpool shocked the coaches with her Italian operatic cover of Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You (L’Amore Sei Tu), getting Will.i.am to spin and winning her a place on his team.
Jack
12-year-old Jack from Dundee usually practices his singing with his gran in the car. Singing for a much bigger audience during The Voice Kids auditions, Jack performed Gabrielle Aplin’s Please Don’t Say You Love Me. Despite a strong audition, with few places left on the teams, Jack didn’t manage to get a turn.
Pheobie
13-year-old Pheobie from Leicestershire gave us a real moment as she performed Feels Like Home for her blind audition, winning the final place on Jessie J’s team.
Lucy
13-year-old Lucy from Portsmouth gave it her all as she performed Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Memory from the musical Cats at this weekend’s blind auditions. Her soaring vocals succeeded in getting Pixie to turn, seeing Lucy complete her team for the battles.
Jamie
13-year-old Jamie from Liverpool got Will.i.am to spin around just a note into his performance of Maverick Sabre’s I Need, completing the Black Eyed Peas star’s team.
Freddie
With just one coach left with space on their team, 13-year-old Freddie from Lincolnshire performed Drag Me Down by One Direction for his blind audition. Although Danny loved his vibe, he didn’t turn for Freddie.
Martha
Closing this year’s blind auditions on The Voice Kids, 13-year-old Martha from Walsall sang her heart out, performing Whitney Houston’s How Will I Know to get Danny’s final spin and the very last place in the competition.
The Voice Kids continues Saturday nights on ITV.
You can watch full episodes online via the ITV Hub.
Those who have made it through the blind auditions will go on to compete in the battle rounds from next weekend.
