The Voice Kids first look as the battle rounds begin

Here’s a first look at The Voice Kids battle rounds on ITV.

The latest series of the singing contest continues Saturday night at 8PM.

This week sees the start of the battles as the successful acts from the auditions face their next performance.

will.i.am opens the show telling viewers: “People of the United Kingdom, what you’re about to see is adorable, spectacular and precious. Massage your cheek muscles because you are going to smile so hard.”

The coaches kick off the fun heralding the start of the battles with a song written by Jessie J, performed by all (with a rap section from will) with the beat provided by Danny Jones.

In the battles, each coach will be starting to select their semi-finalists.

will.i.am, Jessie J, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones will be beginning the process of taking their teams of nine down to just three as they work with the kids to get them delivering their best ever performances

Three acts per team will step forward to perform together for each Battle in the hope of continuing in the competition.

On Saturday night, Jessie and Pixie will decide their first two semi-finalists and Danny and will each make their first selection.

The Voice Kids 2019 airs Saturday,, July 6 from 8PM on ITV.
