The Voice Kids’ Danny Jones praises Jack Goodacre after Britain’s Got Talent success

The Voice Kids’ Danny Jones has sent Jack Goodacre his support after Britain’s Got Talent.

Last weekend saw 12-year-old Jack take part in Britain’s Got Talent with 43-year-old Dad, Tim.

On the show, Tim said: “I’ve always wanted to be a dad from an early age… I’ve always sang, my dad was a singer, Jack’s always been around it.”

Jack added: “I’ve performed on stage before, it was an awesome experience. I’ve always wanted to do something with my dad like this. We thought Britain’s Got Talent would be the thing.”

“I’m a little bit scared of Simon Cowell, but at least he has children now so he might feel a bit of sympathy for me.”

In their audition, the father and son sang an original song ‘The Lucky One’s together, which got Simon Cowell hitting the gold buzzer for them.

But it wasn’t Jack’s first time on TV.

Last year he was seen on The Voice Kids rocking out with Danny Jones.

Jack performed Free falling by John Mayer and had all three coaches on the show turning for his performance. He and Danny then performed Sweet Child Of Mind together with The Voice Kids’ band.

Jack made it as far as the semi-final on the show last summer before he was eliminated just before the live final.

Now Danny has spoken out to send his support to the Jack and his dad.

“Made up for @Jackgoodacre11 one of my semi-finalists on @thevoicekidsuk last season,” wrote Danny.

He added: “Such a nice lad. @BGT @SimonCowell #GoldenBuzzer.”

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning in the week, Jack compared his time on the rival reality show to BGT.

He insisted that Britain’s Got Talent would be a “greater experience” as he could sing with his dad.

“I just thought it would be an even greater experience if I could do it with my dad,” Jack said. “It wouldn’t be the same, it really wouldn’t, if I didn’t do it with him.”

The pair went on to say they had no plans to sing covers and wanted to perform more original songs instead.

Britain’s Got Talent 2018 auditions continue Saturday nights on ITV.
