The Masked Singer CONFIRMS host and judges as Davina McCall joins line-up

Who are The Masked Singer UK judges? TV legends join Ken Jeong, Rita Ora on panel

ITV has CONFIRMED Joel Dommett as presenter of The Masked Singer, and an all-star judging panel including Davina McCall.

The bonkers new entertainment hit sees mystery celebrities dress up as unique characters and put on spectacular music performances.

When a contestant faces elimination, the judges must try to guess who they are before viewers finally find out who is beneath the mask.

Over the past few weeks, rumours have been flying about who will sit on the panel.

Now bosses have finally put the speculation to rest, officially announcing an big-name line-up.

Comedian Joel Dommett will oversee proceedings as the show’s presenter, his biggest TV gig to date.

Since finishing as runner-up of I’m A Celebrity in 2016, he has become one of the faces of ITV2, fronting Singletown and Hey Tracey.

“I’m incredibly excited and proud to be hosting The Masked Singer for ITV,” he said. “The panel is brilliant and it’s an incredible idea – I think the UK is going to love it.

“In all seriousness this is my best chance to become friends with Jonathan Ross and I’m not going to mess it up!”

Joel will appear alongside four judges, all from different backgrounds – presenting, comedy, music and acting.

While the press has already outed three of these names, one is a surprise new addition.

Davina McCall will be doing her best to work out the celebs’ identities in her first ever judging role.

The legendary host’s credits include many TV favourites, from Big Brother to The £100k Drop, and This Time Next Year to Long Lost Family.

“I love this show!” she exclaimed. “I’m so excited and I can’t wait to see just what amazing costumes and performances our celebrities will be bringing to the show.”

Davina joins the previously revealed Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora and Ken Jeong.

Jonathan said: “I am thrilled and excited to be in pole position as the mystery singers show us what they’ve got.

“I can’t wait to try and uncover the mystery UK superstars hiding beneath the masks. It should be great fun!

Rita added: “I’m so excited to be part of this incredible panel, bring it on!

“I’m a huge fan of The Masked Singer, it’s fresh and original. It’s going to be so much fun.”

Ken already stars on the hugely popular American version of the show, watched by 14million viewers on FOX.

The Hangover star joked: “As the smartest judge on the US Masked Singer, it is truly an honour and privilege to take my talents to the UK!

“As everyone knows, I am extremely knowledgeable about UK culture. I can’t wait to see my favourite British singers dressed in beautiful costumes based on their native kangaroos and dingos.”

The format originated in South Korea, where it is known as ‘King of Mask Singer’.

ITV’s first UK series will feature eight episodes, airing stripped across eight consecutive nights.

The Masked Singer hits our screens in early 2020, with filming taking place later this month.
