Alexandra Burke scored full marks on Strictly Come Dancing 2017 tonight.
But it still didn’t impress some of those watching.
Tonight Strictly hit the semi-finals of the competition and for the first time, the celebs each danced twice.
The stakes were high as the celebrities and their professional partners were feeling the pressure as the Glitter Ball trophy is in sight and the Grand Final now a week away.
Once again deciding who was on top form this evening were judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood, who scored the ten remaining celebrity couples.
After a Viennese Waltz to Tina Arena’s version of R.E.M’s Everybody Hurts, Alexandra and pro partner Gorka Marquez danced an amazing Salsa to Finally by Cece Peniston.
The storming routine got all tens from the judges, but once again saw critical comments from viewers.
Despite the stunning performance, one viewer complained on Twitter of Alexandra’s reaction: “#Strictly Alexandra pretending to be shocked. FAKE FAKE FAKE.”
Another posted to Twitter: “The fake shock is why people dislike Alexandra #Strictly”
But there was also a lot of love.
“Literally dont understand all this hate on Alexandra Burke… she’s clearly the best dancer there and isn’t cocky in the slightest ?#StrictlyComeDancing,” one fan of the X Factor winner’s wrote.
“Alexandra and Gorka’s stunning Salsa as a massive ‘screw you’ to those trying to bring her down. YOU GO GIRL! #strictly,” agreed another.
The remarks follow Alexandra hitting back at the “hurtful” comments she has received on the social networking website.
“I have struggled with some of the public’s reaction,” Alexandra said this week. “I’ve had my fair share of negative press since winning The X Factor nine years ago, but I’ve never experienced anything like this.
“Twitter seems to have given people permission to be incredibly hurtful.”
