Fresh from Blackpool, this weekend, the remaining celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing will be back in London for the tenth week of live shows.
With only seven contestants left, the stakes couldn’t be higher as the competition heats up.
Reaching Blackpool is a celebrated milestone in the Strictly journey, but the glitterball trophy is still some way off.
Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will guide viewers through another night of sequins, spectacular routines, and edge-of-your-seat drama.
As always, the judges’ scores will be critical, but the public vote will have to chance to decide who dances another week and who faces elimination.
Pete Wicks is now odds-on to be booted off Strictly Come Dancing this weekend after he swerved the dreaded dance-off in Blackpool, where it was Wynne Evans who left.
Just as rumoured love interest Maura Higgins landed in the jungle on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Wicks could be making a swift exit from his reality TV adventure after sinking to the bottom of the leaderboard last week.
He was awarded just 27 points for his Cha-cha-cha to Right Said Fred’s ‘I’m Too Sexy,’ but punters are now putting their shirt on him getting his marching orders.
Olympian Montell Douglas also in danger as the second favourite for the chop after two appearances in the dance-off.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “It was a roller-coaster ride for Pete Wicks in Blackpool after a few mistakes on the dancefloor followed by a dance-off reprieve, but punters are determined he’s destined to be shown the door this time.”
This week, Pete and pro partner Jowita Przystal will dance a Tango to Easy Lover by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins.
On the other side of the leaderboard, Chris McCausland has charmed audiences and judges alike with his humour and undeniable dance talent.
Partnered with Dianne Buswell, Chris has become a frontrunner for the glitterball trophy and will take on a Paso Doble to El Gato Montes by Manuel Panella
His natural charisma and growing skill have made him the one to beat this season.
Tasha Ghouri and Sarah Hadland are also in strong positions ahead of the final in December.
However, with Chris leading the pack, they’ll need to bring their A-game to narrow the gap.
Of course with the brand new dance-athon set to shake things up, we could see some surprises.
