Libby and Charlie make Britain’s Got Talent comeback as another act withdraws
Dancers Libby and Charlie will compete in tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent semi-final after another act withdrew from the competition.
The 11-year-old best friends are dancers who got four yeses at their audition, where they performed to A Thousand Years.
They were originally eliminated from the show before the live stages but will now take part in this evening’s semi-final.
It follows danger illusionists Brotherhood withdrawing from the ITV series this week.
A group of three masked magicians, Brotherhood stunned the judges at their audition with a terrifying sword trick.
However they stepped down from the contest this week for health and safety reasons.
A BGT spokesperson said: “Brotherhood have had to withdraw from the Britain’s Got Talent Live Semi-Finals.
“Libby and Charlie will now be performing on Friday night’s show.”
In an Instagram post, Brotherhood wrote: “We’ve worked for the last 4 months on an act so ambitious and out there that we’ve put our sanity, blood, sweat, fire and tears on the line.
“Through circumstance and bad luck out of our hands sadly we aren’t in a position where we can deliver.”
Alongside Libby & Charlie, tonight’s semi-final line up will include 33-year-old “extreme tambourinist” from Japan Gonzo; comedian Barbara Nice; mysterious magic act X; 31-year-old singer from London Leanne Mya and stuntman and magician Jonathan Goodwin
Completing the final line up are Japanese dance group Fabulous Sisters and singing barber Jacob Jones.
Britain’s Got Talent airs live at 7:30PM tonight on ITV.
As always, two acts will make it through to the grand final which takes place on Sunday.
They’ll join the current semi-finalists: Magician Ben Hart, singer Mark McMullan. singer Colin Thackery, comedian Kojo Anim, Magic dog act Dave & Finn, singing and dancing group Flakefleet Primary School, magicians 4MG and comedy singer Siobhan Phillips.
