Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev get married ‘in secret Vegas ceremony’

Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev have got married in a secret Vegas wedding ceremony.

The couple, who were partnered together on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, revealed the news today on social media.

Countdown presenter Rachel shared a picture of herself holding a bouquet of flowers together with Pasha.

She captioned the photograph: “Introducing the new Mr and Mrs Kovalev ? We both said yes! ???????????”

According to The Sun newspaper, Pasha and Rachel married in “complete secrecy” in Las Vegas, with many of their friends and family left in the dark.

“They wanted to ensure it was just the two of them and everything was kept as quiet as possible,” said a source.

The news follows the pair announcing earlier in 2019 that they are expecting their first child together.

Rachel used Instagram to reveal she was due in December.

Having been coupled up on Strictly, Pasha and Rachel went public with their relationship in 2014.

Paying tribute to his partner recently, Pasha said: “Rachel is incredible. She is the most beautiful woman in the world. Nothing could come between with what we have.”

Dancer Pasha announced earlier this year that he would not be returning to Strictly Come Dancing this year.

Meanwhile, Pasha and Rachel’s little one isn’t the only Strictly baby on its way this year.

Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez are also expecting their first child with one another.

They appeared in 2017’s series together, although danced with separate professionals.

Gemma performed with pro Aljaž Škorjanec while Gorka was partnered with Gemma’s fellow celebrity contestant Alexandra Burke.

Strictly will return to BBC One in the autumn.
