Series 10 of ITV comedy Benidorm continued with just under 4 million viewers last night.
The new series of Benidorm sees legendary comedy duo Hale & Pace join the cast as undercover detectives investigating Tim Healy’s character Les/Lesley, who returns to the series full time.
The nine-episode series also sees Shane Richie back, reprising his role as lively entertainer Sammy Valentino and John Challis becomes a series regular with his character Monty Staines.
The sixth instalment last night (Wednesday, April 11) was watched by 3.7 million viewers on ITV. The episode saw a slight decrease of 300,000 viewers on last week's episode.
Benidorm just managed to better BBC One in the 9PM slot, with DIY SOS interesting 3.6 million on the other side.
Earlier in the evening, MasterChef continued its finals week with 4.9 million viewers, up 400,000 viewers on last week.
It was the soaps that topped the night's ratings: Coronation Street pulled in 6.7 million viewers for its first episode of the night while 6 million returned for the second instalment.
5.9 million watched Emmerdale while elsewhere on ITV, Anne Hegerty's game show Britain's Brightest Family continued with 3.2 million.
Elsewhere, on Channel 4, Series 10 of first dates continued with 1.5 million viewers.
It followed the latest episode of One Born Every Minute, which interested just over a million.
On BBC Two, American Crime Story's The Assassination of Gianni Versace continued with just under 900,000 watching.
