Series 2 of Marcella concluded with more than 3 million viewers on ITV last night.
Written by Hans Rosenfeld and starring Anna Friel, Marcella returned to ITV in February for a brand new eight-part series.
3.4 million viewers tuned in to the latest episode last night (Monday, April 9), matching last week’s instalment. The series averaged 3.3 million viewers across its latest run.
It was the soaps that topped the night, with Coronation Street averaging 7.3 million and 6.9 million for its two episodes – both down slightly week-on-week.
Emmerdale had 6.2 million on ITV with The Kyle Files averaging 2.7 million sandwiched between them all, up 200,000 on last Monday.
On BBC One, EastEnders was watched by 5.5 million, a drop of 500,000 viewers on last week, while MasterChef’s finals week began with 4.3 million viewers, up 200,000 on last Monday.
Later, Lenny Henry documentary The Commonwealth Kid had 2.3 million viewers in the 9PM hour.
