Series 2 of Marcella continued with just over 3 million viewers on ITV last night.
Written by Hans Rosenfeld and starring Anna Friel, Marcella returned to ITV last month for a brand new eight-part series.
3.2 million viewers tuned in to the latest episode last night (Monday, March 19), up 100,000 viewers on last week but still down on the 3.7 million who watched the opening episode.
It was the soaps that topped the night, with Coronation Street averaging 7.3 million and 7.1 million for its two episodes – both up week-on-week.
Emmerdale had 6.3 million on ITV with The Kyle Files averaging 2.6 million sandwiched between them all.
On BBC One, EastEnders was watched by 6 million. Classic Mary Berry continued with 2.3 million while MasterChef’s new series had 4.1 million viewers, up 100,000 on last Monday.
Elsewhere, a tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber ahead of his 70th birthday had 1.2 million viewers on ITV.
