Coronation Street was the most watched show on TV last night (Monday, February 5).
An average of 7.5 million viewers and 7.1 million watched its latest two episodes on ITV yesterday evening.
Emmerdale had 6.6 million watching while EastEnders ranked behind the two ITV soaps with 5.6 million tuning in.
In the 9PM slot, Silent Witness continued with 5.8 million viewers.
The 21st series of the BBC One drama continued on its new eight-part run with its latest instalment up on last week.
ITV’s new drama series Next Of Kin continued with 2.5 million viewers against the competition.
On Channel 5, The X Files returned with fewer than a million viewers as just 800,000 tuned in to the start of the new series.
On Channel 4, The Bulger Killers: Was Justice Done? documentary averaged 2.1 million viewers, followed by 1.5 million tuning for First Dates Hotel in Italy.
Meanwhile, earlier on in the day, Tipping Point climbed to a series high of 2.9 million viewers on ITV as The Chase continued with 4 million.
