Neil Jones WILL dance with Alex Scott on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, it’s been announced.
Professional dancer Neil has been forced to miss the past two weeks due to injury.
Kevin Clifton has stepped in to dance with Alex, having had only 45 minutes rehearsal before the live show last month.
Last week saw Alex and Kevin score 31 points with Craig Revel Horwood saying that the “accidental partnership is working wonders”.
Today it was confirmed that Alex will return to the dancefloor this Saturday with original pro partner Neil.
Appearing on It Takes Two, Alex said: “It has been strange from going back from Kev to Neil.
“I now know who I’m dancing with… I am dancing with Neil! He is back!”
Neil added: “It’s great to be back! She’s been doing so well every week and Kevin, I have to say thank you.
“Kevin has been there all the way this week and we couldn’t have done it without him.”
This weekend Alex and Neil will Jive to Let’s Twist Again by Chubby Checker as they compete to make it through to the Blackpool special.
Neil Jones’ time out due to injury follows Will Bayley last week being forced to quit the show completely after hurting his knee during training.
Bosses originally granted the Paralympic table tennis player a pass through to the next week, but days later the broadcaster confirmed his withdrawal.
Will said: “I’m gutted my Strictly journey has had to come to an end. I’ve loved being part of the show, and am so grateful for the phenomenal support we have received.”
As a result, only three couples will now reach the grand final, for the first time since 2016.
The remaining eight couples currently on the line up will take to the dancefloor this week when Strictly Come Dancing returns Saturday 9th November at 6:45pm.
The results show is on Sunday 10th November at 7.20pm on BBC One, featuring a special performance from Luke Evans.
