Here are The National Television Awards 2018 nominations ahead of tonight’s show.
The short list of nominees in the publicly voted awards were announced earlier this month.
Dermot O’Leary will return to present the awards, live from the O2 Arena tonight, January 23. The ceremony will air on ITV.
The various categories will see the likes of The X Factor, Strictly, The Voice and Britain’s Got Talent battle it out to be named Best Talent Show.
In the award for best TV Presenter, Ant and Dec once again make the short list having won the title for a record-breaking 16 years. Hoping to FINALLY end their reign are Bradley Walsh, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
David Walliams, Simon Cowell, Paul Hollywood and Will.i.am will fight over who’s the best TV judge while Love Island and Bake Off find themselves competing for Best Challenge Show.
Call The Midwife, Casualty, Doctor Foster, Game Of Thrones and Liar all get nods for Best Drama, and as usual the soaps Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks will be going head to head.
Plus, the late Sir Bruce Forsyth will be honoured by the National Television Awards this year.
The 2018 ceremony will see Sir Bruce get an award in his name, as the Entertainment Award becomes the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award.
Sir Bruce’s widow Lady Forsyth said: “My darling Bruce would have been both humbled and delighted. Entertainment was his life. The National Television Awards always had a special place in his heart because they’re voted for by viewers.
“The children and I are thrilled his flame will still burn brightly.”
