Ahead of the release date, the BBC has unveiled a first look trailer for the show.

Set in England during the year 1954, the story unfolds as Fitzwilliam encounters Miss Pinkerton (Wilton) on a train journey to London. She confides her suspicions of a serial killer lurking in the quaint village of Wychwood under Ashe.

When Miss Pinkerton meets a grim fate on her way to Scotland Yard, Fitzwilliam finds himself drawn into a quest for justice, peeling back layers of village secrecy to catch a murderer for whom killing seems all too easy.

Speaking about the new TV series, Lindsay Salt, Director of BBC Drama, said: “With an intriguing central mystery and a fantastic creative team behind the camera, it’s no surprise that this new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic whodunnit has attracted a who’s who of UK acting talent to bring Murder is Easy to the screen. BBC viewers are in for a treat that will keep them guessing to the very end.”
