Love Island’s Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham hit back at ‘showmance’ claims

Love Island 2018 winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham have insisted they’re not in a ‘showmance’.

The pair, who won the latest series in the summer, have found themselves having to defend their relationship after a recent split drama.

In a statement on Instagram earlier this month, Dani told fans she and Jack had split.

However things quickly changed and within days they were back together.

It was later alleged that the pair were only staying with one another to fulfil their work commitments.

Now in an interview with heat magazine, Dani and Jack have insisted they’re not in a showmance.

The couple made the comments amid other rumours they were set to become engaged.

“We’re definitely not going to get engaged. I’m 22. It would be silly,” Dani said. “We’re not a showmance, so I’m not going to get married at 22.

“We ain’t even been together that long, if you think about it.

“People want us to get married, because our relationship was sped up on Love Island, so they want it to be sped up in the real world.”

Jack added: “Yeah, you’ve got to do things in your own time.”

Dani also hit out on Instagram over claims she was after ‘money and fame’ following news of the split and then reconciliation.

She posted: “Right I’m sick to death of seeing posts on how I want money and fame? Wtf is everyone talking about. Money and fame?! Do you really think I’m that tiny minded to just want that.

“People upset me and disgust me so much on how they can judge me. Just p*ss off and be kind to people.”

Meanwhile, the pair have revealed their plans for Christmas.

Jack said: “I’m going to my mum’s on Christmas Day, and you said you’d come round in the evening, didn’t you. Then, Boxing Day, I’m with [Dani].

“You want to wake up in your own house with your family on Christmas Day, don’t you?”

Love Island will be back in 2019 on ITV2.
