Adam Collar broke up one of Love Island’s couples tonight in the first twist to the series.
Last night saw the opening episode of this year’s season and the very first coupling of the summer.
But host Caroline Flack then dropped a bombshell, revealing one extra guy.
Adam joined the villa after everyone else had coupled up and was told he had to pick one of the girls to partner up with.
In tonight’s show, things were tense in the Love Island villa as single boy, Adam, had the power to choose to couple up with any girl he likes.
Before his decision, Samira was with Alex, Laura was with Wes, Dani was with Jack, Kendall was with Niall and Hayley was with Eyal.
The Islanders were gathered around the fire pit, awaiting Adam’s decision.
Adam told them: “The decision that I’ve made is based on the chats that I’ve had. I’ve tried to get to know all of you one by one.
“The girl that I’ve decided to couple up with, from the conversations that I’ve had [with her] she is a good person and she definitely ticks a lot of boxes for me.”
Adam chose to steal Kendal from Niall.
After Adam stole his girl, the newly single Niall was then sent a text: “You are now single. At the end of the week all Islanders will take part in a recoupling. The Islander not picked to be in a couple will be dumped from the Island.”
Adam’s decision sent shockwaves through the villa and he and his new girl were sent on a date immediately.
Later in the Beach Hut, Adam said: “It’s a game, you don’t really want to have to play a game but you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do, especially in the villa.
“It’s Love Island and I know what I want and I get what I want. I wanted her.”
Love Island 2018 airs nightly on ITV2.
