Love Island 2018 news! One couple leave as the lie detector returns

Latest Love Island 2018 news, spoilers and results - who left?

Here’s all the latest news and spoilers from Love Island 2017 over the past 24 hours.

It was Stephanie Lam and Josh Maier who left Love Island in last night’s show following a public vote.

In the latest episode, a text arrived with those dreaded words: “Islanders please gather around the fire pit immediately.”

As they gathered in their couples, the fateful news was delivered in a further text: “Islanders, the public have been voting for their favourite couple.

“The couple with the fewest votes will be dumped from the island tonight. The safe couples will now be announced in no particular order.”

Steph and Josh, who both entered the villa last Sunday night, were announced as the couple with the fewest votes and left the villa.

Reacting to her exit, Steph said: “I’m obviously gutted that I was only in there for a week, I’d love to have been in there longer and had more of a chance to find someone.”

Josh added: “Obviously it’s upsetting to be leaving, you connect with people and make friends for life. I had only been in there a week, but I was really happy there. I wasn’t fake, I was honest with my feelings. I was completely myself. I’ll definitely keep in touch with everyone.”

The eviction was followed by a teaser at the end of last night’s episode which saw the remaining contestants being put through the lie detector task, returning from last year’s series.

Fans were super exited by the news with one reacting: “The lie detector test. The episode we’ve all been waiting for, give us the dramaaaaa. #LoveIsland,” one tweeted tonight.

Another fan posted: “About bloody time for the lie detector. Finally some drama and entertainment #LoveIsland”

In a video clip, Josh was seen being quizzed on his relationship with Kaz.

“Will you stay loyal to Kaz?” Megan asked.

Viewers are already excited for the drama to come.

Love Island 2017 airs tonight at 10PM on ITV2.
