Love Island 2018 contestants find out viewer opinions in Twitter challenge

Viewer tweets are revealed to the Love Island 2018 contestants in tonight’s show.

And they cause major drama.

In this evening’s episode, Wes gets a text: “Islanders, it’s time to find out what the public really think in today’s challenge, Twitter Bingo #EyesDown #Trending #BitterTweet”

In today’s challenge, Islanders will get to hear what viewers have been saying about them.

Bingo callers, Sam and Georgia, will spin a tombola and pull out bingo balls. Each ball will be a tweet about people in the villa, with certain words blanked out. Couples will compete to correctly fill in the blanks. Each correct answer will score a point.

Some of the tweets include:

“BLANK and BLANK are actually into each other. BLANK and BLANK are like brother and sister, no chemistry.”

“BLANK isn’t even convincing himself he’s into BLANK let alone me.”

“Meg is like a giant BLANK BLANK, watch out boys, she’ll eat you alive.”

“BLANK is not into BLANK the way he’s into her.”

“Love how Georgia goes on about how she is BLANK and then flirts with other guys but tries to justify it by saying she is keeping Sam BLANK BLANK BLANK.”

“Can BLANK just keep her nose out of other people’s business and wind her neck in FFS”

“Please make Danny Dyer come into the villa and confront Jack over sleeping with 50 girls plus BLANK”

Later that night, Laura talks to new Jack about something that came up in the Twitter challenge when everyone guessed that Jack wasn’t even convincing himself he’s into Laura, let alone the person who tweeted.

Laura tells new Jack that she asked the girls why they all guessed that: “In the dressing room, I asked all the girls, ‘what do you think about the tweet about me and Jack, what was your thought process about picking me and him?’ And Kaz was like, ‘I just think it’s really obvious that you like him more than he likes you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh.’ I feel like me and Kaz clash.”

Meanwhile, old Jack, Dani, Kaz and Josh are discussing the same tweet.

Old Jack says: “It was a unanimous decision. Every single person said it. Including them. You’ve got to think why?”

Josh says: “It was full house across the board. Every couple in here, you can see very positive sides of their relationship. With their relationship I don’t see a huge amount of positives.”

In the Beach Hut, Laura says: “After the challenge, I wanted to know why they put me and Jack up for the tweet of him not being convinced he likes me. It’s not a nice tweet to hear. I get it, we voted for ourselves, it’s all good but I wanted to know people’s thought process.”

Laura pulls old Jack, Dani, Josh and Kaz aside and talks to them, sat alongside new Jack.

Laura says to them: “The whole tweet thing, initially I didn’t think I was that bothered. Everyone said us, and I know you think I’ve been defensive with Jack but it was hard not to be defensive if anything is doubted.”

Kaz says to Laura: “I don’t think you should take that so personally. I just wanted to be honest with you because I feel like you wanted honesty. I feel like some girls feel like they can’t say their honest opinion because you are very defensive of it.”

Laura says: “Would you not be defensive over your relationship if I was doubting you guys?”

Kaz says: “I’ll be honest, everyone put you and even you put you. The fact you went to Jack and said you wanted to end things, following that you changed your mind. I don’t think take it so personally.”

In the Beach Hut, Kaz says: “No one is allowed to say what they think, what they really feel because she is very defensive.”

New Jack says: “We are going at our pace.”

Laura tells them: “I don’t care about statuses. I don’t care about winning, all I want to know is, I’d rather be a slow burner and survive on the outside than all that.”

The tweet challenge has caused drama in the villa – how will this affect the couples?
