Little Mix, Spice Girls stars confirmed for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK judging panel

Jade Thirlwall and Geri Horner join new BBC Three series as guest judges

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has confirmed two more superstar guest judges – Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall and Spice Girls icon Geri Horner.

The cult smash talent contest for drag queens is coming to Britain later this year on BBC Three.

RuPaul and Michelle Visage will sit at the judges’ desk alongside rotating panellists Alan Carr and Graham Norton.

Like the original American version, they’ll also be joined by a different extra special guest judge in each episode.

Now bosses have announced two more huge names for the line-up that are sure to delight fans.

Jade and Geri will be bringing a dash of girl power to proceedings as they review the queens’ runway looks.

Jade and her fellow Little Mix members are Drag Race superfans, once covering Mama Ru’s ‘Sissy That Walk’ at G-A-Y.

They also featured US queens Alaska, Courtney Act and Willam in their music video for ‘Power’.

“I love absolutely everything about drag. I love that it’s art,” said Jade.

“How fabulous it is, how fun it is, I love that you can transform your body into a fantastic beautiful woman… the whole thing!

“I just wish in my next life I can be a drag queen!”

Also an avid viewer of the show, Geri has just completed the Spice Girls’ triumphant reunion tour.

“I just love how drag encourages people to be exactly who they are,” she commented.

“This show has brought so much joy and pride to people all over the world. I can’t wait for everyone to see the amazing queens representing the UK in this first ever series.”

Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams was also recently confirmed as one of the guest judges, with more to be revealed soon.

Produced by World of Wonder, Drag Race UK will showcase the most fabulous drag acts from across the country.

In the grand final, RuPaul will crown one queen the UK’s First Drag Superstar.

Meanwhile, the Drag Race family is expanding further around the world.

Last week, Canada announced its own adaptation of the format, which has also made its way to Thailand.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK will debut on BBC Three in the autumn. In the meantime, fans can watch the US version on Netflix.
