I’m A Celebrity’s Shappi Khorsandi reveals what we didn’t see on TV

I’m A Celebrity’s Shappi Khorsandi has revealed just what us viewers didn’t see on this year’s show.

Shappi was the first celeb to be voted out of this year’s series on Friday night.

The comedian shouted out in joy after the news was broken by hosts Ant and Dec in camp.

“I get to see my babies!” she exclaimed, “Don’t be sad, this is what I wanted!”

Shappi told Ant and Dec in her exit interview: “I’m so relieved. I missed my children like crazy… I think I got off lightly.”

Now the comic has open up about what went on in camp that we didn’t see.

Shappi told the Daily Mirror how controversial political talk from some of the celebs was edited out.

“Toff and I had quite a laugh about how different we are politically,” she explained to the newspaper. “Stanley did start talking about high population and immigration at one point and Kez was talking to him about it.

“But apart from Stanley, Kezia, Toff and myself, everybody steered well clear or any controversy in any shape or form. It almost seemed like no one wanted to nail their colours to the mast because they wanted to keep their political views private.

“And if we talked about it, they put up an iron curtain. I get that, jez, it is I’m A Celebrity not Question Time.”

Shappi also spilled about secret vegan food parcels for her after meat left her “really physically sick.”

“It was horrible and then after that I asked for vegan food and they were very accommodating, it was fine,” she said.

And Shappi also confirmed that Amir Khan genuinely had never seen the show before.

She said: “Toff and I nearly died laughing when Amir ran over about four days into the jungle saying, ‘Guys, guys, you know in the Bush Telegraph they’re recording what we’re saying’.
