There were emotional reunions in the I’m A Celebrity 2017 jungle yesterday as family members got to VISIT the campmates for the first time ever.
The ITV reality show’s final four contestants were already on a high yesterday after facing the iconic Celebrity Cyclone Trial.
However, the penultimate day in camp got even better when the unsuspecting celebs came face-to-face with their loved ones for the first time in weeks.
All four were sent to different parts of the jungle, believing they were taking part in a challenge, only to stumble across their nearest and dearest.
First, Jennie McAlpine was shellshocked when she found her husband, Chris.
Giving the Coronation Street actress an update on their son, he said: “Albert slept on the plane all the way here.
“Everything is fine, he’s made friends round the pool and is having a ball. I’m so, so proud of you.”
Next, Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo arrived at Snake Rock, where she found her mum Nicola sitting on a log.
“Mum, I’ve missed you so much and thought about you every single minute,” the Made In Chelsea star said.
“I’ve missed you more and I love you more,” Nicola replied. “I need to tell you that my heart is bursting with pride. You have shown everyone how strong, fair, how kind you are.”
Iain Lee’s reunion proved particularly poignant, as it was the first time he’d seen his sister Jo for two-and-a-half years.
“You’ve been absolutely amazing, we’ve been so proud of you,” she told him. “You trended on twitter, whatever that means. Mum’s fine and really proud.
“I’ve been making a list of all the celebrities that are supporting you. Nadiya [Hussain] from Bake Off, Chas from Chas and Dave, everyone is loving it.”
In the Bush Telegraph, Iain reacted: “That’s my sister, she emigrated to New Zealand two-and-a-half years ago.
“I’ve not seen her since and I didn’t expect to see her here. I’m crying because that was amazing and so unexpected.”
Finally, Jamie Lomas returned to Croc Creek, only to find his mum Helen sitting in the Prime Minister’s chair.
“I thought I’d just pop in and see you,” she joked. “You need to put some weight on!
“I’ve had a great time, Dennis was telling us how fantastic you are.”
“I’ve had the best time and made friends for life, I’ve done nothing but laugh,” the Hollyoaks actor told her. “It’s kind of got to the point where I don’t want to leave.”
All four family members then got to meet the other campmates before they said their goodbyes.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! concludes with its grand final tomorrow at 9.00pm on ITV.
