I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here latecomers Cliff Parisi and Andrew Whyment faced a nasty trial tonight.
Andrew is one of Coronation Street’s longest-serving stars, having appeared as Kirk Sutherland since 2000.
It was confirmed last night (Wednesday, November 20) that he will join the current crop of 10 stars on I’m A Celebrity alongside EastEnders and Call The Midwife actor Cliff Parisi.
But before they entered the camp, the pair faced a bushtucker trial: Frontier of Fear in Ol’ Dingo Town.
Andy would have to enter the General Gore (General Store) and Cliff would go into Buffalo Bill’s Bungalow within both of which were five stars. They were told that they had to find the stars and that they were doing the trial to feed the main camp.
Andy walked in and was immediately repelled by the stench of rotting offal and fish guts. He was also joined by yabbies, spiders and pigeons.
He won all five stars available.
Next up, Cliff had to enter Buffalo Bill’s Bungalow – to be confronted with two buffalo. He gingerly maneuvered around them so as not to disturb them and had to put his hands into a number of ‘hell holes’ that contained a variety of Jungle critters.
He found a total of three stars so between them they won eight stars and eight meals for Main Camp.
Andy and Cliff join this year’s current cast which includes Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle, Ex footballer and TV pundit Ian Wright MBE, Rak-Su singer Myles Stephenson, Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts and comedian Andrew Maxwell.
They’re joined by soap star Jacqueline Jossa, Capital Radio DJ Roman Kemp, Olympian and TV personality Caitlyn Jenner, Ex England rugby player James Haskell and TV and radio presenter Kate Garraway.
Meanwhile, over the coming days all Bushtucker Trials will take part in Ol’ Dingo Town and there are plenty of twists and turns along the way.
I’m A Celebrity 2019 airs nightly at 9PM on ITV.
Ant and Dec host the show nightly with Extra Camp following the main show each night on ITV2.
