The Good Karma Hospital series 3 confirmed by ITV


ITV has confirmed that The Good Karma Hospital will be returning or a third series.

The show originally debuted in 2017 before returning for a second run in March.

ITV have now announced the commission of a third series of the hit drama following the airing of the second series finale last Sunday night.

Set in Southern India, the six-part drama, which is currently achieving consolidated audiences of around 6 million, will return to ITV in 2019. The life-affirming drama full of heart and unforgettable characters stars Amanda Redman, Amrita Acharia, Neil Morrissey, James Krishna Floyd, Darshan Jariwalla, Sagar Radia and Nimmi Harasagama.

The third series has been ordered by ITV’s Head of Drama, Polly Hill, and Senior Drama Commissioner, Victoria Fea who will oversee the drama series for the channel.

Executive Producer of programme makers Tiger Aspect Productions and The Good Karma Hospital, Lucy Bedford said: “The commission of a third series is testament to the hard work of our incredible cast and talented writers, led by Dan Sefton.

“The colourful characters and life-affirming stories continue to strike a chord with the audience and we are so excited to be bringing everyone another series of this wonderful drama.”

The third series will begin filming in August 2018 with further casting news announced closer to production.
