Gogglebox star June Bernicoff has seemingly confirmed she is quitting the show following the tragic death of her husband Leon.
Leon and June were among the most popular cast members of the Channel 4 TV review programme, having joined when it began in 2013.
However, fans were devastated in December when it was announced that Leon had passed away aged 83, after a short illness.
Now it appears that June has confirmed that she will not be returning to Gogglebox without her beloved husband.
Writing on her Twitter page earlier this week, she suggested that her “adventure” had reached its “finale”.
When one of her followers asked if she would do the show with one of her daughters instead, she replied: “It was a great adventure with a great finale with the NTA.”
June was referring to this week’s National Television Awards, where Gogglebox won the Factual Entertainment gong.
The trophy was accepted by sisters Ellie and Izzi Warner, who dedicated it to Leon and June.
Presenter Suranne Jones also paid her own tribute, saying: “God bless you, Leon.”
Channel 4 and the Gogglebox producers have yet to comment on June’s apparent exit.
The broadcaster previously said of Leon’s passing: “Leon’s unique personality and sharp wit endeared him to fans of the show.
“He contributed fully to Gogglebox’s reputation as a programme full of warm humour and unvarnished opinion.
“To those of us that knew him personally, Leon was a man of unwavering principles who exerted a distinct paternal presence both on and off screen.
“He will be dearly missed by the entire Gogglebox family; cast and crew.”
A new series of Gogglebox is due to begin on Channel 4 next month.
