First Love Island 2019 contestants revealed? Rumoured cast ahead of launch

As Love Island gears up for its 2019 summer season, a number of potential contestants have been rumoured.

No names have been officially announced for the Love Island 2019 cast yet but there has been a lot of speculation.

One of those rumoured is 23-year-old dancer Curtis Pritchard, brother of Strictly Come Dancing pro AJ Pritchard.

He will reportedly jet out to the villa next month ahead of the Love Island 2019 start date on Monday, June 3.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “His body is ideal for being in swimwear all day, plus he’s a lovely bloke with a great sense of humour so is sure to be a hit with the ladies.

“They are also hoping that he will bring some sexy salsa moves to the villa.”

Another familiar name supposedly on the cast for 2019 is Tommy Fury, young brother of boxer Tyson Fury. Also a boxer, 19-year-old Tommy is said to be heading to Love Island next month.

Joining him and Curtis could plus-sized model Jada Sezer and Soph Piper, younger sister of singer and TV presenter Rochelle Humes.

The Sun claims there has been an offer for Soph to join the show but she’s yet to make a decision.

“ITV2 bosses are really keen for Soph to be the star of this year’s series,” a source claimed. “Soph is the perfect islander – she’s incredibly beautiful and loves meeting new people after already doing a season in Ibiza.

“She’s currently deciding with her family if it’s the right move for her but it’s looking like a strong possibility.”

Model Ted Pullin could also be a future Love Island contestant. He was a stand by for last year’s series and is friends with past Islanders including Jack Fowler.

Big Brother’s Lotan Carter is another name that has been linked to the cast of Love Island 2019.

Lotan took part in Big Brother on Channel 5 – but was kicked out for breaking the show’s rules.

Now the Dreamboys stripper could be set for a reality TV comeback in the Love Island villa, if rumours are to be believed.

“Lotan’s really up for it and he’s been training so he looks his best on camera,” claimed a source earlier this year.

A further potential contestant is Kobi-Jean Cole, the current Miss Great Britain. She’d be the second Miss GB to take part in Love Island, following in the footsteps of Zara Holland who was on the show in 2016.

Also rumoured for the show are Scottish barman Corey Galloway, who is pals with former winner Kem Cetinay,

Meanwhile, it’s claimed that ITV bosses are planning to cast a more body-diverse range of contestants for Love Island 2019, according to a report.

The ITV2 dating contest has come under fire for its stereotypical choice of islanders, focusing on six-packs and slim waists.

However, the upcoming fifth series could shatter that Instagram-perfect image.

The Daily Star claims chiefs want more ‘plus size’ lads and ladies to move in to the villa this summer.

Applications for the series 5 are currently still open. The closing date is July 15, meaning you may be able to enter the villa still after the show has started.

You need to be at least 18 to apply and can do so online here.

Love Island 2019 begins on ITV2 on Monday, June 3.
