What time is Eurovision 2022 on tonight? Here’s all you need to know about this year’s song contest.

Fresh from Rotterdam earlier last year, details about the 2022 Eurovision song contest have been confirmed.

Following their victory in the 2021 competition, Italy will be hosts for 2022.

Eurovision 2022 date

The 66th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Turin throughout the second week of May. The event will be hosted at the Pala Olimpico arena, hosted by global singing stars Mika and Laura Pausini, and Italian TV host Alessandro Cattelan.

The Eurovision 2022 Final will take place on Saturday, 14 May starting at 8PM UK time.

Airing on BBC One, Graham Norton will provide the commentary for the final while AJ Odudu will be our spokesperson giving the UK’s jury scores.

You’ll also be able to watch online via iPlayer and listen in on Radio 2.

The semi-finals – which the UK does not compete in – took place on 10 and 12 May earlier this week.

In the UK the semi-finals aired on BBC Three, featuring commentary by Eurovision superfans Rylan and Scott Mills.

Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor Martin Österdahl said: “Turin is the perfect Host City for the 66th Eurovision Song Contest.

“As we saw during the 2006 Winter Olympics, Pala Olimpico exceeds all the requirements needed to stage a global event of this scale and we have been very impressed with the enthusiasm and commitment from the City of Turin who will welcome thousands of fans next May.

“This will be the first Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Italy in 30 years and, together with our Host broadcaster Rai, we are determined to make it a special one.”

Who will represent the UK?

Sam Ryder will represent the UK at Eurovision 2022.

With over 12 million followers and 100 million likes on TikTok, Sam is currently the most followed UK music artist on the platform.

He will perform his song Space Man, co-written with Grammy-winning songwriter Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran, Thinking Out Loud) and Max Wolfgang.

Sam Ryder said: “Having been a fan of Eurovision since I was a kid l I am so honoured to have been presented with the opportunity to sing at an event alongside some of Europe’s most talented creatives, performers and songwriters.

“I hope to sing my head off in a way the UK can be proud of, and to showcase a song I wrote with my friends last summer makes the whole experience even more special. See you in Turin legends!”

At the time of writing, the UK is the second favourite to win behind only current favourites Ukraine.
