Rich Holiday, Poor Holiday (Series 3, Episode 6)
Recruitment manager Ore, along with his daughter Savanna and affluent brother TJ, a property developer, embark on a unique adventure, exchanging their lavish holiday lifestyle for a more modest one with financially constrained sisters Donna and Clare.
This episode is brimming with humour and sibling rivalry. Ore, Savanna, and TJ leave behind their usual upscale vacations for a humble stay in a Great Yarmouth holiday park, where they must feed the electricity meter with coins.
Despite their prosperous careers and TJ’s insistence on vacationing at least 10 times a year, this trip presents a stark contrast to their usual five-star getaways in destinations like Turkey and Morocco.
Ten-year-old Savanna, unaccustomed to budget holidays, faces a new challenge with only basic amenities at her disposal. Meanwhile, Ore must leave temporarily, entrusting TJ with budget management and Savanna’s care, a prospect that leaves Ore apprehensive.
On the flip side, Donna and Clare, who usually rely on payment plans for modest vacations, are thrilled with a rare opportunity for an all-expenses-paid luxury trip to Southern Italy.
They stay in a traditional “Trullo” house with a private pool, a stark contrast to their usual vacations. However, holidaying together without their children for the first time brings to light long-standing sisterly tensions.
