Emma Willis went on “robbing spree” before Big Brother house’s demolition

Emma Willis went on a “robbing spree” in the Big Brother house before it was taken down.

Emma was host of the show from 2013 up until last year when it was cancelled by Channel 5.

With the show no longer on air, the Big Brother UK house has since been demolished after almost two decades.

But before the house was bulldozed, Emma got the chance to pinch a few pieces of memorabilia for herself.

She confessed to OK! Magazine: “I went on a right robbing spree! The golden cockerel, which is now outside my front door. The badger behind the sofa in the living room is also in my house.”

Emma added: “There were lots of animals around the Big Brother house – we’ve got a couple of little squirrels in our kitchen and the gold three wise monkeys as well.”

Emma recently said goodbye to the Big Brother house after it was pulled down following the end of 2018’s final series.

Last month she shared a picture of the demolition in progress while working on another TV show at Elstree Studios.

“Sad times listening to this going on outside my dressing room this weekend… RIP BB house,” Emma wrote.

The current Big Brother house in Elstree has been home to the show since 2002, with the first two series airing from a different site in Bow, London.

Big Brother started on UK TV in 2000, originally airing on Channel 4.

It moved to Channel 5 in 2011 but the broadcaster announced in September last year that it had decided not to renew the show beyond 2018.

Although there’s been talk of the show moving to a new channel once more, nothing has been confirmed just yet.

Bit On The Side’s Rylan Clark-Neal previously vowed to bring the show back before the end of 2019.

He said in January: “Cheers everyone. Happy New Year. Thanks for another bonus year for this X factor reject. Can’t thank yous enough. My resolution…. to bring back @bbuk and TRUST ME. I’ll do it. Love yous. Here’s to 2019 xxxx ???”
