RuPaul’s Drag Race is coming to the UK and a new trailer has been revealed.

Confirmed to air in 2019 on BBC’s online channel BBC Three, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is set to start on TV soon.

Ahead of the start date of the debut UK season, the BBC has revealed a first trailer featuring the Queens.

Mama Ru narrates: “People of the United Kingdom, your Queen has arrived.

“It’s time to show off the finest charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent in all the land so God save the Queens because they’re going to need all the help they can get.”

As for when Drag Race UK begins, the BBC has confirmed the series will be available from Thursday, October 3.

Episodes will be available to stream online via BBC Three.

Like the original US seasons, RuPaul herself will decide who is crowned the UK’s Next Drag Superstar, with fan favourite Michelle Visage by her side as a permanent judge.

Drag Race superfans Alan Carr and Graham Norton have signed up as the resident rotating judges, alternating on a weekly basis alongside various guest judges.

Confirmed guest judges include British acting royalty Andrew Garfield and Michaela Coel, Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall and Spice Girls icon Geri Horner.

Also confirmed to be making appearances include Game Of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, Girls Aloud’s Cheryl and model Twiggy.

Meanwhile, dance brothers AJ and Curtis and singer-songwriter MNEK will help coach the queens through some testing challenges.

Plus, Lorraine Kelly and Stacey Dooley will join RuPaul for the iconic maxi-challenge Snatch Game.

RuPaul said of the new UK version: “It is a dream come true to extend our royal family to the United Kingdom with our partners at BBC Three. I am beyond excited to celebrate the massive charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent of the Queen’s queens.

“And before anyone asks, yes, we would be thrilled to have Meghan Markle join us, as we are already preparing a ‘Royal-Mother-To-Be’ runway challenge.”
