Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has been linked to I’m A Celebrity 2018

Bethany Platt actress has reportedly asked soap bosses if she could get time off

Lucy Fallon, a.k.a. Coronation Street’s Bethany Platt, has been tipped to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Lucy has been one of the ITV soap’s most prominent faces recently after Bethany was involved in a controversial sexual exploitation storyline.

Viewers have praised her portrayal of the character, and she won the Best Actress gong at the British Soap Awards earlier this month.

Now, Lucy fancies switching drama for reality TV by conquering life in the Australian outback.

According to the Daily Star, she is eager to sign up for I’m A Celebrity – and has even asked Corrie bosses if she could get time off to do it.

“I think I’d be good at the jungle,” she told the newspaper.

“I like to challenge myself and that’s the most challenging show you can do.”

Lucy previously appeared on ITV’s All Star Musicals in December, singing ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’.

The 22-year-old would be the latest in a long line of soap favourites who have tried I’m A Celebrity.

Last year’s series featured Hollyoaks’ Jamie Lomas and Corrie’s Jennie McAlpine, who finished second and fourth respectively.

Others who have braved the jungle over the years include Antony Cotton, Helen Flanagan and Lucy Pargeter.

I’m A Celeb will return for its eighteenth series in November, and the rumour mill is slowly starting to spin.

This week it was claimed that The Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack has signed up for the show in order to boost her profile.

Other potential contestants include reality stars Olivia Attwood and Charlotte Dawson, and model Christine McGuinness, wife of comedian Paddy.
