As well as tuning on via the TV, you can also watch Children In Need online via the BBC iPlayer.

Here’s what to expect from the night…

Musical performances
Opening the show for 2019 is a special performance from Big The Musical. Jay McGuinness, Kimberley Walsh, Matthew Kelly and Wendi Peters take to the stage and kick off the night with a bang… plus Zoltar and a giant piano!

Further performances will come from Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, a selection of amazing acts from the Circus 1903, global popstar Louis Tomlinson and award-winning singing sensations, Michael Ball and Alfie Boe.

During part two of the show there’ll be music from legendary boyband, Westlife.

Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly will host its annual Children In Need special as four EastEnders stars are waltzing from Walford to the Strictly ballroom: EastEnders stars Ricky Champ, Louisa Lytton, Maisie Smith and Rudolph Walker OBE will be taking to the dancefloor alongside the Strictly professionals.

Graham Norton’s Big Red Chair
Graham’s sofa guests are three young carers who are deserving of a treat and some of their favourite celebrities and adults linked to their everyday lives tell a joke in the Big Red Chair. The twist? The kids have control of the lever and will ultimately decide whether the jokes that are told are good enough to let them walk, or whether the line-up of celebrities will get flipped.

The Hit List
Marvin and Rochelle Humes host a BBC Children In Need special of their Saturday night music quiz, The Hit List, featuring a number of artists that have previously performed on official BBC Children In Need singles.

Taking part are hip-hop artist Wretch 32, former JLS member JB Gill; Heidi Range from the Sugababes, Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle, Michelle Heaton from Liberty X and Blue’s Antony Costa.

BBC Children In Need: Got It Covered
After releasing their charity covers album, some of the a-list stars from Children In Need: Got It Covered will be in the studio on the night to talk about the project and there will be a special performance of a track from the album.

England football team visit
England’s Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford and Raheem Sterling join Mark Wright in surprising children from the England Amputee Football Association, one of the many organisations that have received funding from BBC Children In Need.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
Popular YouTube star, Colin Furze, has been challenged by two of the cast of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, to make a real working landspeeder from the first ever Star Wars to mark the culmination of the biggest film sagas of all time.

Mock The Week
A host of top comedians are getting together for this late night Mock The Week sketch, a BBC Children In Need spin on one their most popular rounds Scenes We’d Like To See

Crackerjack
From the 1950s through to the 1980s Crackerjack was a children’s TV favourite and is returning to the BBC in 2020. For one night only, presenters Sam and Mark bring the show live to the BBC Children In Need studio – expect lots of stunts and slime!

Dragons Den Does I’ll Get This: Children In Need Special
At 10PM on BBC Two, five dragons meet at a restaurant for a fancy meal, they have to play games between courses and the loser will have to pay for everyone’s dinner. Taking part in this BBC Children In Need special are current Dragons’, Peter Jones, Tej Lalvani, Touker Suleyman and Sara Davies. Plus, former Dragon Sarah Willingham returns for one night only as she reunites with her old Den pals.
