Celebrity Island 2018 with Bear Grylls is back tonight – who’s on the line up and what happened so far?

The Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls sees a number of celebs dropped on an inhabited island.

Alongside a team of camera crew – who are living in just the same conditions – the celebs arrive with just the clothes they’re wearing and a handful of basic tools in order to survive four weeks.

Here’s all we know about what will be the show’s third Celebrity series.

When does Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls start on TV?

The new series of Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls will again air in the autumn on Channel 4.

The start date was previously confirmed for Sunday, September 9 at 9PM on Channel 4. Episode five airs tonight, October 7.

Celebrity Island will run for six episodes from the air date.

Who’s on Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls 2018?

10 celebrities signed up with the group made up of celebrities from the worlds of television, music, sport and comedy, taking part in aid of charity for Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer campaign.

The starting group included Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated actor, Eric Roberts, actor and musician, Martin Kemp, double Olympic gold medal rower, James Cracknell, Olympic boxer, Anthony Ogogo and TOWIE star, Pete Wicks.

Joining them were model and TV personality, Jo Wood, Love Island star Montana Brown, journalist, presenter and transgender activist Paris Lees and TV doctor, Dr Saleyha Ahsan and actress and radio broadcaster, Roxanne Pallett.

But after three weeks, Paris, Roxanne and Montana have all left.

Celebrity Island spoilers

In tonight’s fifth episode, s their time on the island nears its conclusion, the remaining seven celebrities are still reeling from the accidental death of the pig. To make matters worse, the group have had no food in days and some of the camp are regretting the decision to give the pig a sea burial rather than eat it.

Pete begins to crack under the pressure as he takes full responsibility for trying to feed the camp with fish from the nets. Martin is left questioning if he can make it to the end as the wounds on his legs become infected. As a lucky find in the jungle becomes a potential lifesaver, Martin plots to turn the group’s fortunes around by leading a raft expedition for food.

With only days remaining before Bear comes to take them off the island, Pete finally encounters a catch in the nets, but quickly discovers it’s a shark. While trying to remove it from the net, it latches on to Pete’s hand and refuses to let go. As the situation becomes increasingly dangerous, can the celebrities come together to overcome their biggest challenge so far?
