Celebrity Island 2018 with Bear Grylls was back tonight as one more celebrity left the the line up.
Love Island’s Montana Brown became the third celeb to leave the show.
In tonight’s episode, after 10 days marooned on the island, the eight remaining celebrities were running on empty. So far, they’ve focused all of their efforts on fishing for food. But with the nets repeatedly empty, tensions mounted as Montana and boxer Anthony Ogogo decided to go hunting for meat, against the wishes of Towie star, and animal lover, Pete Wicks.
However their hunting trip was cut short by a lightening storm, which left the celebs running for cover.
The morning after, Montana declared: “My hands look like Mr Blobby. My face has been bitten by God knows what. I need to stick this out I need to do this. I need to dig deep.”
But after another failed hunt the next day – lasting over eight hours – Montana called it a day.
She sobbed: “This is the lowest I’ve felt since we’ve been here by far. I just miss home, I really do. I’m finding it really tough. I’m really unhappy because I want to go home.”
Montana later told the group: “I’m not happy being here anymore. Being on this Island is harder than I thought it’d be, it makes me want to cry. I don’t want to spread negativity around the camp so I am leaving today. I’m really disappointed because I really wanted to do this.
“I feel really physically week and mentally week. All I want to do is leave and that’s my final decision.”
Montana followed in the footsteps of journalist, presenter and transgender activist Paris Lees and actress and radio broadcaster, Roxanne Pallett.
Montanna’s exit leaves seven celebs on the show. They are Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated actor, Eric Roberts, actor and musician, Martin Kemp, double Olympic gold medal rower, James Cracknell, Olympic boxer, Anthony Ogogo and TOWIE star, Pete Wicks.
Joining them are model and TV personality, Jo Wood and TV doctor, Dr Saleyha Ahsan.
Elsewhere tonight, Eric found it hard to let go of his Hollywood habits as his behaviour in camp tested the group’s patience – until a huge personal crisis revealed a more vulnerable side to the movie star, causing the group to rally round their campmate as they worked to turn their situation around.
He was forced to temporarily leave the island for urgent medical assistance but returned later after treatment.
Celebrity Island 2018 with Bear Grylls airs Sunday nights at 9PM on Channel 4.
